Using a mixture of comedy, magic, story telling, puppetry, juggling, face painting, and balloon art, we offer entertainment for the whole family. Uncle Curt and Hugs have won awards for their balloon skills, costumes, and in skit competition. Uncle Curt and Hugs have successfully published 6 videos and one book on balloon art, which can be purchased in our e-commerce section. We have taught Balloon classes in local schools and at conventions. Uncle Curt's Balloon designs have been featured in international publications for Balloon Artists and enjoyed countless times by adults as well as children!

A Clown's love is like no other's...
In 1993 Karan attended the Circus Magic clown convention held every February in Williamsburg, Va. and briefly spoke with a clown named Curt. They didn't see each other until a year later, when they finally met out of costume. They exchanged addresses and phone numbers, communications progressed, and they started visiting each other later that year. At that time Karan lived in Pittsburgh, and when she had an operation that fall, Curtis invited her to stay at his home to recuperate.

Curtis asked Karan not long afterwards to move in with him, even though he had only recently escaped from a bad marriage, and made no secret of avowing never to repeat his error again. Karan needed a little time to tie up loose ends back home in Pa. She wasn't too happy about living together out-of-wedlock, but consented none-the-less. They were in Love!

At the Circus Magic 1995, Karan and Curtis were both brought up on stage at the awards banquet for first and second place winners for Best-All-Around Clown. Karan beat-out her boyfriend by 14 points, and Curt took first place balloon awards in all categories, but none of this was important to Curt, who had mischief on his mind! At a signal from the MC, about 500 clowns shouted out, "KARAN, WILL YOU MARRY CURTIS." It took Karan five minutes before she could say, 'Yes'.

They were married on April 6, 1995, and remarried as clowns by an actual clown-minister on stage at Circus Magic 1996
